This episode is exactly what I needed. As I am attempting to restart my career after a break (worked in IT from 2001-2009), I was starting to think that the only thing that employers want is certifications and degrees. I thought that if I just piled on the certifications, that I would make myself more valuable. What is more valuable is the knowledge gained. It’s not about just studying to pass a test, it’s more about learning the technology. I will still probably still get some certifications, but now it will be for personal satisfaction or used as a milestone, instead of appealing toward employers.

Thank you and I look forward to future episodes.
